75-Year-Old Yemeni Man walked Over 2 months For Hajj

bismillah_f

Allaah says

(interpretation of the meaning):

“And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj)”

[soorah Al-Hajj, verse:27]

A 75-year-old Yemeni walks over 2 months to reach Minaa for Hajj.

yemeni man1

Mohammed 3Ali Al-Mirfa3 told Al-Madina newspaper on Thursday that he started his journey from his home  town in Yemen on the third day of Eid Al-Fitr (July 3).

He described his foot journey to be long and exhausting but he said: “I was determined to walk it  regardless of any difficulties.”

Al-Mirfa3 said he bade farewell to his 12 children, wife and relatives and began his journey of a lifetime. He said  he is destitute and does not have anything to lose.

“I was only assisted in my journey by my strong will and determination which my long years have not been able to break,” he said.

When the newspaper met him, he was drinking a cup of tea provided to him by one of the cleaners. He was eating a loaf of bread with the tea.

“This is my breakfast. I am happy to have made it to the sacred Sites,” he said.

Al-Mirfa3 did not say if he had a Hajj campaign to accommodate him in Minaa, 3Arafat and Makkah.

He did not also say how he will go back home.

A True Story The Man Who Has Exceeded Age of 96

Boy with Cerebral Palsy Has Memorized whole Qur’aan

Bismillaah - CopyAnother beautiful inspiring story.

He may not be able to read Arabic, but he can recite the Qur’aan, his voice is confident when answering questions about the Qur’aan verses.

The extraordinary little guy is Fajar Abdurokhim Wahyudiono, 10 years old from Indonesia.

What makes him so special was that he has memorised the entire Qur’aan, despite the difficulties he faces. His ambition is simple and noble: to become an Imaam of Masjid al-Haraam, Makkah.

Fajar suffers from spastic cerebral palsy (CP), a group of disorders that can involve brain and nervous system functions, such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing, and thinking.

“Fajar loves the challenge of completing or looking for a specific verse. Not so much with reciting,” said his mother Heny Sulistiowati,  at their house in Karanganyar, Central Java, Indonesia.

Heny and her husband, Joko Wahyudiono believe that the Qur’aan is the cure for all ailments. When their son was born prematurely on October 2, 2003, they regularly played him recordings of the Qur’aan. Because of his low birth weight of only 1.6 kilos, Fajar had to remain in intensive care. When they came to bring him breast milk, Heny and Joko also brought along a recording for the nurse to play.

“I told the nurse to play the cassette once in a while for my child. At that time, the NICU usually played music.”

Playing recordings of the Qur’aan continued after Fajar was brought home. Heny and Joko were very selective as to what he was allowed to listen. It’s also why they decided not to have a TV and or listen to music at home.

“A child has to listen to good things. Everything from the Qur’aan is good, so that’s the best thing,” Heny said.

Up until he was two months old, Fajar was just like other babies. It was only when he turned three months that Heny realised there was something different about him: his development was slow. After consulting a pediatrician, they discovered that Fajar had CP. The doctor said it could have been caused by his premature delivery, as parts of his brain had not fully developed.

Together with physical therapy, Heny continued with the cassette recordings.

At age 3, when Fajar showed interest in images, Heny bought an interactive CD of the Qur’aan. And that was how he learned the Arabic alphabet.

He first spoke around the age of 3, and the first thing out of his mouth were snippets of Qur’aan verses. At first, his parents could only make out the end of the verse Fajar was trying to recite. Later, they could hear the beginning and the end, and finally they could make out the complete verse.

When he was almost 4 years old, he had memorised the entire Qur’aan. Then, he began to ask his mother to find a verse for him. Not a hafiz herself, Heny was overwhelmed and found for him a female Qur’aan teacher.

“Six months into it, the teacher said that Fajar had memorized 80-90 percent of the Qur’aan, although not in order,” she said.

He changed teachers twice and in December 2012, at the age of 9, Fajar had finally memorized the entire Qur’aan in order.

What’s more, the regular listening to the Qur’aan seems to be improving his condition, according to Heny.

A brain test at age 3 showed that his brain was experiencing seizures. Recent tests showed that these had vanished. A MRI test revealed empty spaces in Fajar’s brain, which usually indicates hydrocephalus, a condition where the brain swells from excessive fluid. However, Fajar does not have this condition. Today he even goes to public school, while his motor and cognitive skills are improving.

“This is the miracle of the Qur’aan, it wakes sleeping brain cells. Alhamdulillaah, Fajar is experiencing the blessing of the Qur’aan,” said Heny.

Indeed, from the miracles of the Qur’aan.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ

“And We have certainly made the Qur’aan easy to understand & remember, so is there any who will remember? [soorah Al-Qamar, v:17]

may Allaah grant this boy complete shifaa’ and attach our hearts to the Qur’aan and grant us the memorization of His Book. Aameen.

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ

A Mentally Challenged haafidh

An Inspirational True Story & a Resolution

flower bismAn Inspirational true story happened to a Qur’aan teacher in Egypt & narrated by her colleague to her students.

A Qur’aan teacher always advised her students to live by this aayah:

وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَى

“and I hastened to You, O my Lord, that You might be pleased.”
[soorah TaaHaa, v:84]

She told them, “This aayah is what moves me. When I hear the Adhaan and I’m in occupied and the middle of something, I remind myself of this aayah and so I get up to pray.”

“When my alarm goes off at 2:00 am (Tahajjud) and I want to go back to sleep I remember: “and I hastened to You, O my Lord, that You might be pleased” and so I get up.

Her husband had the following arrangement with her: on his way home from work he would call her so she will get the food hot & ready; so he can come home and eat &  sleep.

Stuffed-Grape-Leaves
One day he asked her to make Mahshi (stuffed grape leaves with rice – very time consuming. You wrap many of them and put the pot of them on the stove to cook).

She had 3 more to wrap then she had to put them on the stove to cook.

But the Adhaan came in…

So she left the 3 remaining grape-leaves (which would have taken her 5 minutes) and went to pray.

Her husband kept calling & calling but there was no answer. He came home and found her in Sujood and food not ready. He saw there were only 3 grape-leaves left. So he was upset & said:

“You could have just finished them & put the pot to cook then pray!”

No response.

He went to her to discover she had died in her Sujood!

SubhaanAllaah, had she waited like any of us to “finish whats in her hand”, she would have died in the kitchen!

But a person dies upon what they lived on and by, & they are resurrected on what they died on. (*)

Prophet SallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa Sallam said : “‘Every person will be resurrected in the manner that he died.’” (1)

Resolution: (*)

Let’s make a resolution:

*For sisters, leave everything, get up & pray as soon as the adhaan calls in, [maximum after 20 minutes (iqaamah time)]

3Abdullaah narrated: “I asked the Prophet SallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa Sallam: “Which deed is the dearest to Allaah?”

He replied, “To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times.” (2)

*For brothers, as soon as you hear the Adhaan, do wudoo’ & go to the Masjid.

keep reminding yourself:

وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَى

“and I hastened to You, O my Lord, that You might be pleased.”

* True story shared by a sister, who also suggested the resolution.May Allaah accept it from her and may it be a source of sadaqah-e-Jaariyah for her. Aameen

Special Qur’aan Session with a Mentally Challenged Haafidh

Bismillaah - Copy

Remember the brother who is mentally challenged & is haafidh of Qur’aan!

Last year, Dubai International Qur’aan Competition did a special session with this Haafidh. He was asked from 3 different kinds of questions:

  1. Questions about hifdh/memorization (read from ….)
  2. Questions about soorah names, aayaah number, page number etc.
  3. Questions about Mutashaabihaat (similar verses/words) which is the difficult thing  for the huffaadh.

A mentally & physically challenged, a haafidh, who is even not able to put his shirt back if he takes it off, but Allaah has blessed him with the complete memorization of Qur’aan & given him a memory sharper than a computer memory chip.

SubhaanAllaah!!

Indeed, from the miracles of the Qur’aan.

The story of the Shaykh from Azhar and the Prostitute

It was narrated by Shaykh Ali Tantawi [May Allaah have mercy on him] in his memoir about Shaykh Ahmad Al-Zayyaat* [May Allaah have mercy on him]. Shaykh Ali Tantawi said:

“The Shaykh (Ahmad Al-Zayyaat) was a teacher, who did not know anything of this world except: The Azhar where he used to teach, the house he used to live in, and the road between them.

As years passed by, and he got older, his health started to deteriorate, and he needed to rest. So the doctor forced him to take some time of, and suggested that he goes somewhere away from his place of work and residence, and advised him to enjoy the quietness and calmness of the parks next to the Nile.

So one day, the Shaykh went out and stopped a carriage (as cars were not that available at the time). He told the driver: My son, take me to a nice place were I can enjoy the view and relax.

The driver of the carriage, however, was a wicked person, and took the Shaykh to a place in Egypt, which at the time had several prostitution houses.

After arriving he told the Shaykh: Here [we are].

The Shaykh said: “O son, Magrib prayer is drawing near, where can I pray? Take me first to the Masjid.”

The Driver [pointing to one of those houses] said: The Masjid is over there.

The door [of the place] was open, and the lady running that house was sitting, in the manner those like her usually sit.

When the Shaykh saw her, he lowered his gaze. He saw a seat, so he headed there and sat, waiting for the Call for prayer (Adhaan).

[The woman in confusion, just] stared at him.

What brought that man here? He doesn’t look like any of her regular customers.

Assalaamu 3Alaykum wa rahmatullaah

Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3alaa says in Qur’aan:

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ. سورة الحِجر

“Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian.”

[soorah Al-Hajr, v:9]

The following is a clip of a brother who is mentally challenged and is even not able to put his shirt back if he takes it off, but look and listen how he is able to continue any words that he hears from the Qur’aan!

They ask him about the name of the surah and number of the surah and how many of this statement is mentioned in the Qur’aan, and they gave him among the hardest verses to recall and remember since there are several ones in the Qur’aan and one might get confused between them.

It is amazing how he is not able to answer the questions he is asked properly but the minute he hears a verse or a part of a verse as if you hit the play button in his mind and he starts reciting.

Indeed a soldier that Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3alaa sent to the people to prove to them that these are HIS words and not any humans.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ. سورة الحِجر

“Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian.” [soorah Al-Hajr, v:9]

May Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3alaa grant us the memorization of His Book and make us amongst His beloved slaves. ameen

A different kind of true story

Assalaamu 3Alaykum wa rahmatullaah

The exceptional characteristics some people display are quite dumbfounding really, particularly when you put yourself in their shoes.

This story published in Saudi Gazette is one such. (reference below (1))

JEDDAH — The touching story began when Abdullah Banimah, who is completely paralyzed appeared on a satellite television program talking about spreading the message of Islam in several countries in the world.

[Abdullaah’s video: clip 1 and clip 2]

When his future wife saw the program she immediately told her father about her desire to marry him because she admired him for courageously facing up to his disability and for dedicating his life to Islamic preaching.

Their dream turned true Tuesday when their friends queued along the road leading to the Al-Salam Wedding Hall in Jeddah to wish the couple a happy married life.

Abdullah had almost drowned in a swimming pool at a sports club in Jeddah. He had remained underwater for 15 minutes. This caused a great deal of damage to his brain which resulted in his paralysis.

The incident made him change his life completely by dedicating it to Islamic work.

Dhaiffallah bin Saad Al-Ghamadi, the bride’s father, said: “My daughter, who works as teacher for one of the Holy Qur’an memorization schools in Jeddah, chose Abdullah on her own. After insisting she wanted to get married to him, I bowed to her will.”

Dhaifallah said the reason for marrying Abdullah is for them to work hand-in-hand in the way of Allah.

Omar Banamh, the groom’s father, said: “I have nothing to say but to pray to Allah to crown this marriage by blessing them with pious offspring.”

He said he hoped Abdullah will see his children grow up with no disability.

Abdullah was ecstatic about his marriage.

“In the beginning I could not believe this was her desire. She really surprised me. I will never ever forget her noble stand and insistence on accepting me as her husband. I pray to Allah day and night to enable me to make her happy for the rest of my life.”

He said he will never forget, for the rest of his days, the many people who had gathered to wish him a happy marriage.”

SubhaanAllaah!!

What a story.

Number of points there.

1. There do exist such people Masha Allah. The daughter, her father, her family should all be praised. Imagine yourself in that situation.

Would you do that? Or would you allow your daughter to marry a crippled man?

What about the extended family?

She belongs to Al-Ghamdi family, which means she comes from the so-called “high society”. How difficult would it be for people to disregard social honor and societal pressure?.

This is why these people are special, masha Allah. May Allah increase their guidance and bless them with good in this life and the hereafter. These are the role models of a society. They deserve coverage in the media. People need good examples.

2. Look at the zeal they have for Islam. Look at how this man’s life changed after a tragedy. So the tragedy was the beginning really. A beginning of a journey insha Allah to achieve the eternal.

3. Despite all difficulties, if Allah wants to bless someone with something, it will come to you. Who would have thought a paralyzed man would get married in the first place? He not only got married, but got a wife who is Insha Allah better than many women.

4. Look at the noble way in which the woman approached the issue of marriage. She wanted to marry him. She spoke to her father and her father approached the man’s family. This is so noble. It’s the pure path Islam has facilitated for men and women — marriage. At stark contrast is the lewd path, where men or women express their feelings to each other and fall into Haraam and illicit relationships. A slippery slope that pulls people down the pit of lust. There’s no love, purity or chastity — there’s only pain, selfishness and desires that turn human beings into animals.

A beautiful story of a Muslimah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3aala said in Qur’aan:

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡعَل لَّهُ مَخۡرَجً۬ا. وَيَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَحۡتَسِبُۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهُ ۥ

And whosoever fears Allaah & keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.

And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.”

[soorah At-talaaq, v:2-3]

The below video is a beautiful story of a pious muslimah.

A touchy story of having tawakkul/trust in Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3ala and Allaah’s way of helping His slaves..

Your parents..When was the last time you hugged your mother?

Bismillah in Arabic

“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour”.

[soorah Al-Isra, v:23]

“My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy
as they did bring me up when I was young”.
