“For you is an Appointed Time”

1

“And for you is an Appointed Time”

[3Umar ibn 3Abd al-3Azeez]

3Umar ibn 3Abd al-3Azeez (rahimahu-Allaah) said in his last khutbah:

O people,

Indeed you have not been created for mere play
Nor will you be left in vain

And for you is an appointed time
Wherein Allaah will descend to judge between his servants

Truly the failure is he who has left the Mercy of Allaah
which has encompassed all things

And who has been forbidden from Paradise,
its width as wide as the heavens and the earth

Don’t you see that you are indeed in a destroyed plunder

And those after you shall inherit it

Like that it will be, until it is returned to the Best of Inheritors (Allaah)

And everyday you are going back and forth escorting (someone) to Allaah

His term has been settled
And his life is over

Will you then bid him farewell and call him from the rough and unleveled cracks of the earth?

He has left all provisions
And left his beloved ones
He has settled to live among dust
And is due to face the reckoning

He is free from what he has left behind
And in dire need of what he has put forth

So fear Allaah O servants of Allaah
Before the descent of death and the coming of his time

Indeed, I say this to you
But none knows as much as I do of the sins (I have) earned

But I seek the forgiveness of Allaah and repent to Him

He then lifted the ends of his cloak and weeped.
Then he got down and did not return to the minbar until he passed away.

May the Mercy of Allaah be upon him. Aameen

‘O People, Prepare for Departure!’

She’s My Sister [Beautiful story]

If You don’t find me In Jannah… then Ask About me…

Surely the people of Jannah when they enter Jannah and they don’t find those companions of theirs who were with them upon good in this world, then verily they will ask Allaah 3Azza wa Jall and they will say: “O Rabb we have brothers who used to pray salaah and fast with us, we do not see them!”

Allaah, jalla wa 3Alaa, will say “Go to the fire and take out any person who had even an atoms amount of Eemaan in their heart!”. (2)

And Hassan Basree (may Allaah have mercy on him) said  “Have lots of believing friends because they will be able to intercede for you on the day of qiyaamah”.

& when the disbeliever will see that, they will say {So now we have no intercessors, And not a devoted friend} (soorah Al-shu3araa)

The loyal friend is one; who walks you to Jannah.

Ibnul Jawzi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“If you don’t find me with you in Jannah then ask about me, so you should say ‘O our Rabb! your slave so-and-so used to remind us about you’!! then he started weeping.

And I ask you… If you don’t find me in Jannah then ask about me, because I reminded you of Allaah even if it was only for one moment.

“Oh Allaah, we ask you for good friends those who will help us in your obedience.” Aameen

Trials & Calamities Are Medicine

1

Ibn al-Qayyim said:

Were it not that Allaah treats His slaves with the remedy of trials and calamities, they would transgress and overstep the mark.

When Allaah wills good for His slaves, He gives him the medicine of calamities and trials according to his situation, so as to cure him from all fatal illnesses and diseases, until He purifies and cleanses him, and then makes him qualified for the most honourable position in this world, which is that of being a true slave of Allaah (3uboodiyyah), and for the greatest reward in the Hereafter, which is that of seeing Him and being close to Him. If People are Impressed with You

‘Know that if people are impressed with you, in reality they are impressed with the beauty of Allaah’s covering of your sins

Ibn al-Jawzi (rahimahullaah)

Sins That You Do In Private

The sins that you do in private kills the heart more than the sins that you do in public, because it means that you value the eyes of the people more than you value the sight of Allaah.

You are more worried about people catching you sinning than Allaah seeing you.”

How Much We Have Prepared?

It was narrated from some of the salaf that they used to pray to Allaah for six months in advance to let them live until Ramadaan. The Sahaabah radiAllaahu 3anhum used to prepare for Ramadaan six months in advance.

Jamadi-uth-thaani  is half over & Rajab will be here soon, ya3ni Ramadaan is just 2 1/2 months away.

So, how much have we prepared?

Yes, majority of us, if not all of us…

so what we are waiting for?

Sha3baan

Well, if truth be told, yes we are…

Beautiful Advice from Hasan Al-Basree

Hasan Al-Basree advised some of his students admonishing them about avoiding the state of being proud.

He said:

1) Do not deceive yourself into becoming too proud because you are in a good or righteous environment, for there is no place that is better than Paradise, and our father, Aadam 3alayhi salaam, experienced there what is known to all.

2) Do not become proud merely because you worship often, for consider what happened to Iblees after he spent a great deal of time worshipping.

3) Do not think yourself great because you have met with righteous people, for there is no man more righteous than the Prophet sallAllaahu 3alayhi wa sallam, yet the disbelievers and hypocrites did not benefit by simply knowing him”.
