Some Tips to build a Daily Relation with Qur’aan:

Set a time for your daily Qur’aan recitation.

✅ Better to make it after Fajr salaah & adhkar, or before Fajr or after 3Asr (depending on each person’s situation).

✅ Do not use this time (after Fajr) for net, emails, Facebook or whatsApp.

✅ Start off with 15-20 minutes to maximum 1/2 an hour (if you aren’t in the habit of reading regularly)

✅ Continue with this for 1 week (to get into the habit).

✅ If you missed the daily Qur’aan sitting any day, take time out from your sleep time or any other activity & cover it up before the next day.

✅ After one week, increase the recitation time to 30 minutes to 45 minutes & continue it for next full week.

✅ Do not use this time for reading Tafseer or translation. If you want to read translation or tafseer, set a separate time for it.

✅ Observe all the manners of reading the Qur’aan.

✅ Have a daily self checklist and mark when you are done.

Are You Planting the Seeds?

Abu Bakr al-Balkhi said:

“The month of Rajab is the month for planting the seeds; the month of Sha3baan is the month of watering the seeds & the month of Ramadhan is the month of reaping the fruits.

Rajab Shaban Ramadaan

He also said: The likeness of the month of Rajab is that of the wind, the likeness of Sha3baan is that of the clouds and the likeness of Ramadaan is that of the rain; whoever does not plant and sow in Rajab, and does not irrigate in Sha3baan, how can he reap in Ramadaan?

Its Rajab…. are you Planting the seeds of good deeds & 3Ibaadah?

YOLT – You Only Live Twice

Bismillah1A must watch powerful reminder inshaa’Allaah, specially for our youth…

YOLT – “You only live twice” is referring to our Dunya (temporary life) & the Aakhirah (Life after death-more enduring/lasting).

Our Aakhirah depends on this life & we will be held accountable for every single deed (good & bad). Allaah says in the Qur’aan:

“Everyone shall taste the death. And only on the day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted into Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of Deception (a deceiving thing)”. [soorah Aal-e-3Imraan, v:185]

and He says:

إِنَّمَا هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَإِنَّ الْآخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ الْقَرَارِ

“…Truly, the life of this world is nothing but a [quick passing] enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever.” [soorah Ghaafir, v:39]

Once this life is over, then its all over, no one can return back to make amendments or do good deeds. Lets focus & see what we are preparing for our Aakhirah.

“O you who believe! Fear Allaah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what you do”. [soorah Al-Hashr, v: 18]

May Allaah give us “Husnul-Khatimah” a good ending. Aameen

Any good that comes from this post is from Allaah alone and any mistakes & errors therein are from myself.

Remember The Order…To Lower Your Gaze

A nice story you must read it…

A nice story you must read it…

Since last night my young son has been unwell. When I got back from work this evening I decided to take him to hospital despite my exhaustion. There were many waiting; perhaps we will be delayed by more than an hour. I took my number and sat down in the waiting room. There were many faces, young and old, but all silent. Some brothers! made use of the many booklets available in the waiting room. Some of those waiting had their eyes closed, while others were looking around. Most were bored. Once in a while the long silence was broken by a nurse calling out a number. Happiness appears on the one whose turn it is, and he gets up quickly; then silence returns.

A young man grabbed my attention. He was reading a pocket-sized Qur’aan continuously; not raising his head even once. At first I did not think much about him. However, after one hour of waiting my casual glances turned into a deep reflection about his lifestyle and how he utilizes his time. One hour of life wasted! Instead of making benefit of that hour, it was just a boring wait.

Then the call for prayer was made. We went to prayerin the hospital’s mosque. I tried to pray close to the man who was reading the Qur’aan earlier in the waiting room. After the prayer I walked with him.

I informed him of how impressed I was of him and how he tries to benefit from his time.

He told me that most of our time is wasted without any benefit. These are days that go from our lives without being conscious of them or regretting their waste. He said that he started carrying the pocket-sized Qur’aan around when a friend encouraged him to make full use of his time. He told me that in the time other people waste he gets to read much more of the Qur’aan than he gets to read either at home or in the mosque. Moreover, besides the reward of reading the Qur’aan, this habit saves him from boredom and stress.

He added that he has now been waiting for one and a half hours. Then he asked, when will you find one and a half hours to read the Qur’aan?

I reflected; How much time do we waste? How many moments of our lives pass by, and yet we do not account for how they passed by?

Indeed, how many months pass by and we do not read the Qur’aan?

I came to respect my companion, and I discovered that I am to stand for account and that time is not in my hand; so what am I waiting for? My thoughts were interrupted by the nurse calling out my number; I went to the doctor. But I want to achieve something now. After I left the hospital I quickly went to the bookshop and bought a pocket-sized Qur’aan. I decided to be mindful of how I spend the time.

If this information is beneficial to you, then please do forward it to your friends and relatives.
